Ministry Event Form
Ministry Leaders: Please submit a minimum of 2 months (8 weeks) prior to the date to ensure sufficient timing to secure needed resources/services.
The Associate Ministers are called by God and affirmed by the pastor and church body to share the gospel with the lost and make disciples through the teaching and preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Burden Bearers ministry members serve as intercessors through prayer for the pastor, church leadership and staff, members of the church and community, and other concerns.
The transportation ministry members supply safe and reliable transportation to and from worship services and other church related activities.
The Christian Learning Academy
(Sunday School):
provides weekly opportunities for persons of all ages to study and engage in God’s word.

The Deaconess are selected by the pastor and elected by the church to serve as support to the pastor, deacons, church, and community.
Deacons are selected by the pastor and elected by the church to assist the pastor with meeting the needs and welfare of the congregation, making disciples, and being watchful guardians of the purity upholding the Word of God.
The Epistle Ministry produces our monthly church newsletter. The newsletter promotes upcoming events, highlights ministry achievements and promotes timely and relevant information. All levels of writers and editors are welcome.
Members of the Evangelism ministry share the message of Christ through outreach opportunities with intentional effort to fulfill the great commission.
The Feeding the Homeless ministry not only prepares and provides meals for persons without permanent housing, but also addresses issues of food insecurity through food distributions and other ministry events.
The floral ministry provides floral arrangements for worship services and church events as directed by church staff.
The Greeters ministry ensures that guests feel welcome and have an uplifting experience. They also inform worshippers about church ministries and upcoming events and encourage guests to connect with us.
The HANDS ministry provides a range of services to integrate health awareness and literacy and promote healthy living and illness prevention in an effort to improve overall health and wellness of members of the church and greater community.
The Hospitality ministry prepares and serves nourishing and plentiful meals for church activities and to the community as directed by church leadership.
The Marriage ministry provides opportunities for married and engaged couples to enrich and strengthen their relationships with one another and God through workshops, bible studies and fellowship.
The Men’s ministry supports, encourages, and motivates the men of FBCV and the community through workshops, bible studies, and fellowship. They provide support to other ministries and outside the walls of the church.
The Missionary Ministry reaches out to meet the tangible and spiritual needs of the local, national, and global community. They are dedicated to providing aid to those most vulnerable and facilitating opportunities for service beyond the church walls.
The New Members ministry provides guests and prospective members with opportunities to meet, fellowship and learn more about First Baptist Church of Vienna. They also welcome new members into the fold and ensure that they make a smooth transition into their new church family.
The Nursery ministry ministers to the youngest members of our congregation – babies, toddlers, and preschoolers (age 0 -3). They provide early Christian education in a safe and creative environment.
We believe that the guest experience begins at the moment you enter the FBCV grounds. The Parking Lot ministry is on site to welcome. greet, and assist guests in the parking lot and with entry into the building.
The Pastor’s Encouragement ministry encourages the pastor and pastoral staff by demonstrating the love of Christ in tangible ways.
Members of the security ministry monitor, observe, and address safety issues within the First Baptist Church campus to provide a reasonably safe environment for congregants and visitors.
The Social Justice ministry is committed to engaging the church and community in identifying and addressing injustices and inequities that impact our lives and communities.
The Sound & Media ministry provides technical support to the church during worship services and ministry activities. Training required for participation in this ministry.
The Stephen Ministry is made up of trained members of the congregation who provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties. These members are also trained to provide appropriate referrals to Mental Health professionals and clinicians.
The SWAP ministry provides a holistic ministry for the seniors within our congregation and the community. They provide spiritual care and social outlets through workshops, bible studies, and fellowship.
Trustee Ministry is made up of individuals who are nominated and appointed to serve as stewards of the financial resources and physical properties of the church.
The Tutoring ministry provides academic support to students of all ages and levels of education. They provide an environment where church and community members may obtain academic excellence through teaching, modeling and mentoring.
Ushers minister to everyone who comes through our doors. They are the “doorkeepers” and also assist by finding seating and ensuring that worshippers have a comfortable and pleasant experience.
The Women’s ministry provides spiritual support and growth opportunities for all the women of FBCV through prayer, worship, bible study, missions and fellowship.
The worship and arts ministry seeks to expand and strengthen the body of faith and enhance worship through drama, song, dance and other creative arts.
The Young Adult Ministry is dedicated to encouraging young adults to live a healthy, Christ-driven lifestyle. The ministry promotes education, leadership and mentorship.
The Youth Ministry empowers and equips children and youth to be true disciples of Christ by providing, a real and relevant holistic Christian education through a variety of activities designed to enhance spiritual growth and personal development.
